Ellsworth senior Jack Weeks was Johnny on the spot for the Ellsworth Eagles on Monday night, knocking in a loose ball in a crowd for Ellsworth's lone goal at 12:23 in the first half, as Ellsworth defeated MDI in a boy's soccer game on Monday, October 6th.The game was played in front of a large crowd on the football field at Ellsworth High School.

Bruce St. Peter started in goal for Ellsworth and had 2 saves and Nick Bagley finished in goal for Ellsworth with 2 saves as well.  Kendrew Van Gorder played in goal for MDI with a total of 13 saves.

With the victory, Ellsworth remains perfect at 9-0 and sits on top of the Heal Point standings. Ellsworth is back in action tonight, October 7th, as they will host Washington Academy at 6 PM on the football field and then plays again on Thursday, October 9th when they host John Bapst at 6 PM.

MDI falls to 2-5-1. The Tojans play Wednesday October 8th at George Steven's Academy at 4 PM and then host Presque Isle on Saturday  October 11th at 3 PM.
