Ellsworth Girls Fall to Foxcroft Academy

The Ellsworth Girls played host to the Foxcroft Academy Ponies on Friday, December 6th and lost their season opener 45-38.

The Ponies led 11-10 after the 1st Quarter, 26-17 at the Half, and 33-25 after the 3rd Quarter. Briana Skofield, who transferred to Foxcroft Academy from Central High School led all scorers with 28 points. Mackenzie Coiley hit one 3-pointer. Foxcroft Academy was 10-18 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Hailee Langley with 14 points. Emily Berry tossed in 11 for the Eagles. Caitlin Bean sank a 3-pointer for Ellsworth. The Eagles were 5-13 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth will travel to Hermon to take on the Hermon Hawks on Tuesday, December 10th at 7 PM. Foxcroft Academy will host MDI on Tuesday, December 10th in a game that will be aired on WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio with the tip-off starting at 7 PM and pregame beginning at 6:40 PM
