Ellsworth Girls 69 MA 42 [BOX SCORE]

The Ellsworth Girl's Basketball Team traveled up to Lincoln and remained perfect on the season, moving to 4-0, with a 69-42 victory over the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx on Friday, December 18th. Every Eagle (with the exception of Sammy Mason who is recovering from an injury) scored.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 25-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, and it was 44-22 at the half, and the Eagles never looked back.

Ellsworth was led by Madison Card, with a game high 22 points including 4 3-pointers. Kate Whitney had 15 points, with 3 3-pointers. Whitney led Ellsworth with 8 rebounds while Caitlin Bean had 7 rebounds and Hannah Sargent had 6 rebounds. Ellsworth was 7-11 from the free throw line.

Mattanawcook Academy was led by Katie Tolman with 13 points including 2 3-pointers and Camryn Lyons had 9 points with 1 3-pointer. Cheyanne Libby led the Lynx with 7 rebounds. The Lynx were  18-23 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 4-0 and plays Hermon on Tuesday, December 22 in Ellsworth at Katsiaficas Gymnasium with the pregame starting at 6:45 and tip-off at 7 PM. The game will broadcast on AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio.

Mattanawcook Academy is now 2-3 and the Lynx are off until Wednesday, December 30th when they travel to Foxcroft Academy to play the Ponies at 2:30
