The City of Ellsworth will flush fire hydrants within the City starting  April 30th  and lasting through May 11th. This flushing takes place twice a year, in the Spring and Fall.

The purpose of the flushing is to clean the lines and prevent any potential problems in the future. During the flushing, residents and businesses may experience "dirty" or "yellow" water, low water flow or decreased water pressure. This is a normal byproduct of the flushing, and should end shortly after the flushing is completed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Ellsworth Water Department at 667-8632
