The Ellsworth Eagles Boys Soccer team fell to the Yarmouth Clipper 1-0 in the State Class B Boy's Championship at Deering High School in Portland, Saturday morning, November 18, 2014.

The lone goal of the game was scored with 26:37 gone in the first half, when Patrick Grant scored with assists from Matthew Dostie and Luke Bray.

Yarmouth outshot Ellsworth 8-2 in the 1st half, and 8-3 in the 2nd half. Yarmouth controlled the possession for most of the game, and won the aerial game, which had been an Ellsworth strength all season long. Ellsworth had 4 corners in the game, while Yarmouth had 3

The game was very physical, especially towards the end of the game. With 2:13 left in the game, Ellsworth received 4 red cards, and was forced to play down 4 members for the remainder of the game. To Yarmouth's credit, they were content to protect the 1-0 lead for the rest of the game, rather than attacking the Ellsworth goal with an 11-7 player advantage.

Ellsworth's Nick Bagley played the entire game in goal, and Alexander Lyon was in goal for Yarmouth.
