An Ellsworth couple is facing charges for allegedly making meth in their Bucksport Road home.

The Ellsworth American reports 30-year-old Jacalyn Canlas and 36-year-old Ryan Miller were arrested after agents executed a search warrant at their residence. Several items were seized during that search that had been used to make methamphetamine. Officials say there were children in the home, at the time, and they were turned over to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

Canlas and Miller were both charged with one count of unlawful operation of a methamphetamine laboratory and taken to the Hancock County Jail, where bail was set at $10,000. The charge carries a potential 10-year prison sentence if they're convicted.

The Department of Environmental Protection aided in the search.
