Ellsworth Boys Defeat Jonesport-Beals

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball team defeated the Jonesport-Beals Boy's Basketball team Saturday afternoon, November 30th in the 1st game of the MDI Thanksgiving Tip-Off Tournament. The Eagles outscored the Royals 71-32.

It was 30-18 at the end of the 1st half and then the Ellsworth team went on a 24-4 run in the 3rd Quarter to take a 54-22 lead.

Ellsworth was led by Steven Mahon with 16 points including 3 3-pointers. Alex Braley had 12 points with 1 3 pointer for Ellsworth. Jonesport-Beals was led by Cole Beal who scored 28 points, including 2 3 pointers.

The Ellsworth Eagles open the regular season Friday, December 6th when they travel to Dover-Foxcroft to play the Foxcroft Academy Ponies at 7 PM. Jonesport-Beals begins the season at Narraguagus on Friday December 6th at 6:30 PM.
