The Paul Lock Era started with a win for the Ellsworth Eagles, as they played host to Caribou on Saturday afternoon, September 3rd at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth. The Eagles defeated the Vikings 4-2.

Caribou scored 1st, when Andre Rossignal found the back of the net with 32:47 remaining in the 1st half.

Ellsworth knotted the score at 1-1- when Jack Lee scored with an assist from Trent Mahon with 14:08 remaining in the 1st Half.

In the 2nd Half, Ellsworth took the lead when Trent Mahon scored with an assist from Colby Clarke with 33:24 in the game.

It was 3-1 Ellsworth when Trent Goodman's header found the back of the net with an assist from Judd Kinney with 27:53 left in the game.

Goodman scored his 2nd goal of the afternoon with 26:42 left, with an assist from Colby Clarke, his 2nd of the game. That made it 4-1 Eagles.

Caribou drew a bit closer when Alexander Ezzy scored with 15:04 remaining. That made the final score 4-2.

Ellsworth 1-0 plays at Foxcroft Academy on Monday, Labor Day at 1 PM.

Caribou is 1-2 and plays host to MDI on Monday, Labor Day at 3 PM.
