Ellsworth Boys 55 Hermon 37

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team finished their pre-Christmas schedule with a 55-37 victory over Hermon on Wednesday, December 23rd at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 11-8 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Bruce St. Peter had 4 points for Ellsworth and Bryce Harmon had 3 points. Hermon was led by Keenan Marseille with 4 points.

In the 2nd Quarter, Ellsworth outscored Hermon 17-8. Nick Bagley hit 3 3-pointers for Ellsworth and Harmon added 4 points. For Hermon Tyler Beaton had 7 points including a 3-pointer. At the end of the 1st Half Ellsworth was up 28-16.

In the 3rd Quarter, Hermon outscored Ellsworth 15-13 and actually cut Ellsworth's lead down to 3 points at one point. Keenan Marseille had 6 points, Colby Wittmer had a 3-pointer and Tyler Beaton, Garrett Trask and Isaiah Marseille each had 2 points for the Hawks. For Ellsworth, Zach Harris had 9 points including a 3 pointer and Cooper Henderson had 2 points. At the end of the 3rd Quarter, Ellsworth was up 41-31.

In the 4th Quarter, Bryce Harmon was clutch from the free throw line for the Eagles, going 8-11. Nick Bagley hit another 3-pointer and Bruce St. Peter was 3-4 from the free throw line. Hermon was limited to just 6 points in the 4th Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Bryce Harmon with 15 points, Nick Bagley had 12 points and Zach Harris had 11 points. Bagley and St. Peter each finished with double-doubles as Bagley had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and St Peter had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ellsworth was 16-24 from the free throw line

Hermon was led by Tyler Beaton with 13 points and Keenan Marseille had 10 points. Hermon was 9-14 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 4-1 and is off until December 29th and 30th when they travel to Aroostook County to play the Caribou Vikings on the 29th and the Presque Isle Wildcats on the 30th.

Hermon is now 3-3 and plays host to Houlton on Wednesday December 30th at 1:30 PM.
