The Ellsworth Boy's Soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season, with a 2-1 victory Friday afternoon in Bangor when they played John Bapst Memorial High School.

Jeffery Weeks scored first for Ellsworth, at the 34:28 mark in the first half, and Brady White made it 2-0 Eagles, when he scored with 32:11 remaining in the first half.

John Bapst's Adrian Garcia scored John Bapst's lone goal with 6:44 remaining in the game, off a direct kick.

Nick Bagley played in goal for Ellsworth during the 1st Half, and had 1 save. Bruce St. Peter was in the net in the second half for Ellsworth, and had 0 saves. Bach Nguyen played the entire game in goal for the Crusaders, and had 8 saves.

Ellsworth will play Saturday afternoon at Old Town in a make up game from September 6th with the varsity playing at 1 PM and the JV playing at 2:30.

John Bapst falls to 0-2 on the season and will play next on Tuesday, September 16th when they host Mattanawcook Academy at 4 PM.
