The Ellsworth Eagles trailed most of the game, but won in overtime, defeating the George Stevens Academy Eagles 3-2 in overtime at the football field at Ellsworth High School Monday evening, September 12th.

GSA jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st Half. John Lawson scored with 31:07 remaining and less than a minute later, Taylor Schildroth scored with 30:10 remaining.

In the 2nd Half, Carter Frank scored with an assist from Trent Mahon at 32:14 left in the game. Colby Clarke tied the game at 2-2with 31:03 left.

In overtime, Clarke scored his 2nd goal of the night, with 53 seconds left in the game, to give the Ellsworth Eagles the victory.

Ellsworth ended up with 7 shots on net, while GSA had 2 shots on net for the game.

Ellsworth is now 3-1 on the season, and play at Hermon on Thursday, September 15th at 6 PM.

George Stevens Academy is 2-1 and play at Dexter on Thursday, September 15th at 4 PM.
