The Ellsworth and MDI Girl's Soccer teams were in action on Wednesday October 9th, and both squads came away with victories. The Ellsworth Girls beat Washington Academy 6-1 and the MDI Girls defeated George Steven's Academy 5-0.

Ellsworth improved to 6-4-1 with the victory. Katey Curtis scored 4 goals for Ellsworth, two of which were unassisted and two were assisted by Morgan Card and Lauren Hale. Leah Stevens and Morgan Card also notched goals for the Eagles. Katey Curtis assisted on both Stevens' and Card's goals. Ashley Porter scored the lone goal for Washington Academy , which is now 7-6-0 on the season. Callie Hammer made 4 saves in goal for Ellsworth and Paige Sinford made 18 saves for Washington Academy.

In Bar Harbor, the MDI Girls defeated George Steven's Academy. The Trjoans saw goals by Paige Mason, Opal Curless, Emma Fernald, Maeve Geary, and Hannah Shaw. Keeley McConomy  played in goal for MDI.

The Ellsworth Eagles are off for a week, and next play at home against John Bapst on Thursday, October 17th. MDI's next game is Tuesday, October 15th when they host John Bapst at 6 PM.
