Ellsworth Superintendent of Schools Dan Higgins notified parents, guardians, teachers and students that he has made changes in the school calendar because of all the snow days! So far, the Ellsworth School Department has used 6 days, 2 more than what was built in to the original calendar.

As a result here is a summary of changes. All concerned should read the letter from Superintendent Higgins

  • The Teacher In-Service day scheduled on Friday, March 23, 2018 has been changed to a student day and the Teacher Day will be added to the end of the school year.
  • Adjusting 5 Friday PLC Days (March 30, April 6, April 13, April 27 and May 4) where students would be dismissed early to full student days.
  • For seniors only Mr, Clifford and Mrs Wright are designing appropriate activities for the Saturday May 26th Senior Class Trip so it will be counted as a student day.

Assuming there are no more snow days, the final school days for Seniors will be Friday, June 8, 2018. Students in Grades K-11 will go to school through Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Ellsworth School Department Staff's last day will be Thursday, June 21, 2018. Graduation remains on June 8tth, 2018 for the Class of 2018

If there is another snow day, then the final five Friday PLC days (May 11, May 18, May 25, June 1 and June 8) will be full student days. For Seniors only, identify additional days, (April vacation or Saturdays) to be used as a student day(s).
