Ellsworth 53 Foxcroft Academy 39 [Box Score]

The Ellsworth Eagles defeated Foxcroft Academy 53-39 on Friday, December 4th in Dover-Foxcroft on the opening night of the 2015-16 High School Season.

Foxcroft Academy led 9-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Ellsworth took the lead at the half, 21-19. The Eagles used a strong 3rd Quarter run 16-4 to take a 37-23 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter and never looked back.

Ellsworth was led by Kate Whitney who had a game high 23 points including a 3-pointer. Maddie Card and Hannah Sargent each were in double figures with 11 points each. Ellsworth was 16-36 from the free throw line.

Foxcroft Academy was led by Madison Chadbourne with 10 points while Mackenzie Beaudry had 8 points. The Ponies were 13-22 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth, 1-0 plays host to Central High School on Tuesday, December 8th at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio.

Foxcroft Academy 0-1 plays host to John Bapst on Tuesday, December 8th at 7 PM.
