The Ellsworth Eagle's bats were alive Friday afternoon in Ellsworth as the Eagles rolled over the Washington Academy Raiders 26-1 in softball.

Ellsworth scored 7 runs in the 1st inning, 2 in the 2nd inning, 11 in the 3rd inning and 6th in the 4th inning in a mercy rule shortened game.

The Eagles were led by Abby Lynch who was 4-4 batting with 2 doubles, 2 singles and 6 runs batted in. Callie Hammer had 2 singles, a double and drove in 5 runs, while scoring 4. All together the Eagles banged out 21 hits.

Kate Whitney pitched a perfect 4 innings striking out 8.

Ellsworth is now 9-3 on the season and plays John Bapst on Tuesday, May 24th at 4:30 PM. The Eagles are currently sitting in 6th place in the Heal Point Standings.

Washington Academy is 5-6 and plays host to Calais on Monday May 23rd.
