The Ellsworth Boy's Soccer Team started the 2015 season with one of their longest road trips of the year, traveling up I-95 to play the Presque Isle Wildcats, and came away with a 4-3 victory on Saturday, September 5th.

Ellsworth got on the scoreboard first as Alex Braley found the back of the net with an assist from Zach McGraw at 37:37 in the first half. Nick Bartlett from Presque Isle evened the game at 1-1 at 27:12 with an assist from Josiah Moore. Alex Braley notched his 2nd goal of the game at 24:02 remaining in the 1st Half with an assist from Jack Lee. Presque Isle tied it at 2-2 when Nick Bartlett scored off of a penalty kick with 22:49 remaining.

Ellsworth had 4 corner kicks, 6 regular throw ins and 14 flip throws by Lukas Firestone!

In the 2nd Half, Presque Isle took a lead 3-2 when Ryle Mortland scored at 38:04 with an assist from Cooper Madore. Ellsworth's Colby Clarke tied it at 3-3 when he scored on a penalty kick with 7:44 left in the game. Dagan Berenyi scored the winning goal for Ellsworth, also on a penalty kick with 3:07 left in the game, giving Ellsworth a 4-3 victory.
Ellsworth had 1 corner kick and 10 flip throws from Lukas Firestone in the 2nd Half. Firestone ended up with an incredible 24 flip throws in the game!
Bruce St. Peter was in goal for Ellsworth and recorded 9 saves in the game.  Patrick Cash was in goal for the Wildcats and ended with 4 saves
Ellsworth will play host to Hermon on Tuesday night at 6 PM September 8th and then at Old Town on Thursday September 10th at 5 PM.
