The Ellsworth Boy's Soccer Team traveled to East Machias on Wednesday, September 17th and came away with a 7-2 victory over the Washington Academy Raiders.

The Eagles scored first at the 20:45 mark in the first half off of a header by Valter Moeller. Dagan Berenyi headed in the 2nd goal of the game at the 17:31 mark. Ellsworth scored twice more in the first half, as Conor Maguire scored at 8:52 and Griffin Nightingale made it 4-0 when he scored at the 7:04 mark.

In the second half  Ellsworth added to it's lead as  Jack Weeks scored a goal at 25:00 followed by Jacob Jordan who scored at 21:11, making the score 6-0.

Washington Academy got on the board at 20:47 when Jordan Lamb scored.  Trent Goodman added another goal for Ellsworth at 17:14. Washington Academy nothched the final goal of the game, when Rick Simmons scored with 6 seconds left in the game, making the final Ellsworth 7 Washington Academy 2.

Nick Bagley played in goal for Ellsworth in the first half and recorded 2 saves, allowing no goals. Bruce St. Peter made 3 saves in the second half for the Eagles, and allowed 2 goals. Cameron Varney played the entire game in goal for  Washington Academy, allowing 7 goals, and recording 9 saves.

Ellsworth is now 4-0 and plays host to Caribou on Saturday, September 20th at 3 PM and then host to Presque Isle on Tuesday, September 23rd at 5:30 PM. Washington Academy is 2-1-1 and plays at Lee Academy on Saturday, September 20th at 2 PM.
