One of the things we have tried to do on the WDEA website, in the last two years is to turn our attention to young alumni who are doing well academically, athletically or in the performing arts since they have graduated. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, some fly under the radar, and if you know of such an individual, we would encourage you to email Chris Popper the particulars so we can consider featuring them in a story.

One such individual is Brandan Albee who is a member of the Ellsworth High School Class of 2012.

Albee graduated  with honors and was a 3-time Eastern Maine Class B Champion in Tennis (2009, 2011 and 2012) and also qualified once for the States in  tennis and twice with the Ellsworth Golf Team.

Brandan is a member of the class of 2016 at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. He will graduate in December after a seven month internship with The Pebble Beach Golf Clubs in California. His first position will be in the Pro Shop at Spyglass Golf Course.

He has been one of the assistant Golf Professionals for the past two years at the Northeast Harbor Golf Course. During his three and a half years at Coastal Carolina University he has made  the Dean's List six times and President's List once. He has a 3.8 GPA.
