The future of the Ellsworth-Sumner football team looks good based upon the results of this year's Ellsworth Football League (EFL)'s 7th and 8th grade team. The boys traveled to Orono to play the Orono 7th and 8th grade team and came away with an impressive 55-0 victory. The win improved their record to 3-1 on the season.

Connor Crawford scored 2 touchdowns and rushed for over 100 yards.  Nate LePage scored 3 rushing touchdowns. Eighth graders Devin Grindle and Malcolm Svec both scored their  FIRST ever career touchdowns. Javon Williams scored a 60 yd touchdown  pass reception from quarterback Connor Crawford.

Jackson Curtis kicked 2 out of 3 PATs and  Malcolm Svec, Noah Neleski and Javon Williams all scored on 1 point conversion plays.

Defensively Malcolm Svec, Nate LePage and Austin Dyer all had an interception and Charlie Hughes played spectacular defense for the Eagles with multiple tackles and 2 fumble recoveries

The EFL 7th-8th grad team is in action next Wednesday, October 15th when they play host to Ridgeview of Dexter.
