On Tuesday, the Eagles received another great pitching performance from Matt Burnett.

Burnett, coming off a combined no hitter with Bradly Smith against Presque Isle, pitched a complete game on Tuesday, just allowing 1 hit to Ben Spear in the 5th inning. John Bapst's lone run was unearned, coming on 2 Eagle errors in the 4th inning. Burnett struck out 11 and walked 4.

The Eagles scored all their runs in the 2nd inning as they sent 8 batters to the plate and had 4 singles. Burnett, Devin Grindle, Tyler Mitchell and Bradly Smith all singled.

Alec Gagnon took the loss for the Crusaders.

Ellsworth is now 8-1 and will play host to Belfast on Friday, May 11th at 4:30 PM.
