The Ellsworth Eagles remained unbeaten on the season, defeating the Old Town Coyotes 4-1 at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on Friday, October 2nd.

The Eagles scored first, on an unassisted goal by Kyle Golding, with 33:06 left in the first half.

The Eagles were up 2-0 after Lukas Firestone scored, with 22:11 left in the first half, with an assist from Kyle Golding.

The Eagles made it 3-0 when Wyatt Alexander scored, assisted by Dagan Benyi, with 14:27 left in the half.

The first half ended with Ellsworth up 4-0 when Colby Clarke scored unassisted with 9:14 left in the half.

Old Town got on the scoreboard when Nikko Knapp scored on a header, after Jacob Ketched crossed the ball with 1:14 remaining in the game.

Ellsworth goalkeeper Bruce St. Peter made six saves on eight shots while Old Town’s Austin Sheehan had 10 saves on 14 shots

Ellsworth is now 8-0-1 and will play host to George Stevens Academy on Tuesday October 6th at 6 PM. Old Town is 4-5 on the season and play at Orono on Tuesday October 6th at 3:30 PM.
