E-Waste Collection Scheduled

Got an old television, microwave, fax machine, cassette player, game system, or pager you've been meaning to get rid of? Now you can! It's easy, convenient, and good for the environment. 

Challenger Learning Center of Maine is setting up an electronic waste collection at 30 Venture Way in Bangor on Saturday, September 20th from 9AM to 1PM. Volunteers will be on hand to help unload your unwanted electronic junk, and also to accept your cash donations. Challenger Learning Center does not benefit from the recycled materials, but from your charitable donation that help Challenger in its mission to inspire Maine's students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.

Venture Way is easy to get to from I-95 by taking the Union Street or Hammond Street exits. With access roads off Maine Avenue, you can line up and drive into the big parking lot and follow the signs they'll have posted.

This is for residents of any city and county. The suggested donation is $10 for the first item, then $5 for each additional item. If you don't have cash, checks can be made payable to: Challenger. They say no donation is too large or too small, and all are gratefully accepted.
