Maine Drug Enforcement Agents are investigating a suspected meth lab. A search warrant was issued after reports of suspected drug activity.

Wednesday afternoon, agents secured a Gilbert Farm Road residence in Bar Harbor to search for evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing. The Downeast District Task Force began the investigation last week after receiving reports of a suspected meth making operation.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says three people are in custody. This is the third meth lab MDEA agents have responded to this year. In 2014, 28 meth labs were found by drug agents, along with nine other disposal sites, an all-time record for Maine.
