Downtown Bangor Parking Ban

Residents of, and visitors to, the City of Bangor's downtown parking district should be aware that there is a Downtown Parking Ban posted for tonight, from 11 PM Sunday (12/15/13) through 6 AM Monday (12/16/13).  This will allow the Public Works crews to work on cleaning up snow from today's storm.  Vehicles left on city streets or in city parking lots during this time may be towed at the owner’s expense.  During the parking ban parking is allowed in the lower levels of the Pickering Square and Columbia Street parking garages from 11 PM to 6 AM.

Of course those outside of the Downtown Parking District are prohibited from parking on the street overnight. Most communities have ordinances prohibiting parking overnight on city and town streets during the winter. If you have any question, you should call your local police department (and don't call 9-1-1!)
