Dow Wins NIAAA National Distinguished Award
Back at the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association’s annual spring conference on April 5th at the Samoset in Rockport, MDI Athletic Director Bunky Dow was nominated for a National Award by the Association.
Dow was nominated for the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association's Distinguished Service Award!
The NIAAA Board of Directors, at the recommendation of the NIAAA Awards Committee, annually selects a number of individuals to receive the NIAAA Distinguished Service Award. Recipients of the NIAAA Distinguished Service Award are selected from persons nominated by their respective state athletic director associations. Each state may nominate one Distinguised Service Award candidate each year.

It is truly an honor for me to inform you that the Board of Directors of the NIAAA has selected you as a 2018 recipient of its Distinguished Service Award. You are one of only eleven athletic administrators to be so honored this year.
The award will be presented at the National Athletic Directors Conference as part of the banquet program on Tuesday evening, December 18, 2018 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center located in San Antonio, Texas.
Bunky is the 15th recipient from the State of Maine since 1992.
