I had my annual physical yesterday and, as I sat there in my paper gown waiting for her to come in, a thought occurred to me. Why do we feel a need to hide our undies when we get undressed? And so I thought I'd ask - am I the only one who does this?

It's one of those weird things that doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason. When I get undressed at the doctor's office, I always make sure that my bra is stuck between my jeans and my shirt, so it's not visible. I don't think my mother taught me that. It's almost like I'm ashamed of my underwear, which I'm not!

And what could possibly be embarrassing about the idea of her seeing my bra? I mean, she's going to see everything else. Why does the idea of her getting a peek at my unmentionables bother me?

So I guess I'm looking for a little validation that I'm not the only one who does this. Or maybe I am! This is an anonymous poll, so no one else will know how you voted. Be honest. Do you hide your bra when you go the doctor's office? (please let at least one person say yes!)
