District 1 Champs Softball 9-10

Congratulations to the Maine District1 9-10 Softball Champions... The Acadians who defeated Ellsworth, Wednesday night, July 13th in Bar Harbor 17-9. The Acadians will now advance to the Maine State 9-10 Softball Championships!

Ellsworth jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, but the Acadians answered plating 2 runs to take a 2-1 lead.

Ellsworth added a run in the top of the 2nd inning, but the Acadians added another run in the bottom of the inning to lead 3-2 after 2 innings.

Ellsworth scored 2 in the top of the 3rd, but the Acadians scored 3 and after 3 innings the Acadians led 6-4.

In the top of the 4th Ellsworth scored 2, but the Acadians added 3, to lead 9-6.

In the 5th inning, Ellsworth added 2 more runs, but the Acadians added 8 runs as all 9 batters went to the plate and after 5 innings, the Acadians led 17-8.

Ellsworth added 1 more run in the top of the 6th, but it wasn't enough as the Acadians won 17-9.

The Acadian 9-10 Softball All-Star Team is comprised of Emma Kennedy, Addy Boyce, Grace Horner, Soren Hopkins-Goff, Lexi Tozier, Lily Alley, Clair Moore, Mollie Gray, Kaya Gray, Taylor Grant, Brooke Goff, Carly Collier and Gracie Parker.

The Ellsworth 9-10 Softball All-Star Team was comprised of Lily Bean, Paige Johnson, Sophia Lynch, Natalie Jagels, Shanteena Griffiths, Megan Jordan, Anna Stevens, Reece Hellum, Alex Bivins, Emily Gagnon and Jayden Sullivan. Ron Bean was the manager and coaches were Bernie Johnson and Melanie McCormick
