Current Power Outage In Ellsworth Area

Emera Maine crews are responding to a power outage affecting downtown Ellsworth and surrounding areas this afternoon.

Initial reports indicate a construction truck working on Water Street inadvertently came into contact with power lines, causing the interruption to nearly 1,000 customers in that area.

Motorists traveling through the area are urged to use extreme caution as traffic lights are out of service. Repairs will be made safely and as quickly as possible until all customers are restored.
