It's official!  The name of the new Cross Insurance Center's signature burger is "The  Penobscot Poundah!"

The name was suggested by Jack Keenan and The Keenan family of Bangor.  Mr. Keenan will now receive two club level tickets to the show of his choice, name recognition within the arena and at the concession stands, and two Penobscot Poundahs for his dining enjoyment!

Over the past few weeks, 1000 suggested names were submitted to the Center's website.  The list was narrowed down to 10 by Global Spectrum, managers of Cross Insurance Center and Ovations Food Services, the creators of the burger.  Final round voting began last Friday.

The newly named Penobscot Poundah consists of a half pound of Angus beef piled high with bacon, lettuce, tomato and onions.  Everything’s topped off with a mound of poutine, which is  french Fries, gravy and cheese curds!

The Penobscot Poundah will make it's debut this Thursday when country star Hunter Hayes plays the Cross Insurance Center.  The Center will hold a "Tweet To Eat" event during the show for folks with the munchies who'd like to try the new burger at a discount. Just tweet during the concert with the hash tag #CICPenobscotPoundah and mention @CICBangor.  Then show the tweet at Tapas Concessions on the Penobscot (section 105) or The Blue Ox Grill (section 115) and receive $1 off the Penobscot Poundah.
