The Red Sox beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 16-2 on Sunday, August 14th, but for the Corson family of Trenton, the highlight of the game was the pregame, as Brittany Corson, a 2016 graduate of MDI High School was honored in a pregame ceremony as a winner of a $1000 New England Red Sox Service Scholarship!

The Red Sox Service Scholarship Programs honors academically-talented public high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to community service. Corson received a $1000 scholarship and a commemorative bat and was honored in a pregame ceremony today. She was 1 of 20 students from Maine honored.

Corson will be attending Endicott College in Massachusetts and is planning on majoring in elementary education.
