Congratulations to Ellsworth High School's 2013 Valedictorian, Cecelia (CeCe) McEachern!

CeCe is  the daughter of Susan and Steven McEachern and is currently finishing up the last trimester of her senior year at Ellsworth High School. She couldn’t be more excited for the next chapter of my life. Next year she will be attending the University of Maine and studying Civil and Environmental Engineering and hopes to minor in Renewable Energy.

She will also be participating in the Division I swimming and diving program there.
CeCe has been swimming for the Down East Family YMCA for 13 years. During her 13 years CeCe was able to become the youngest swimmer on her  team to qualify for Nationals and has been a part of the only qualifying relay for her  team so far.CeCe has set a few of her team records and still holds a Maine state record. She has also been a state and New England champion. This year CeCe was lucky enough be selected to receive the state YMCA Citizenship Award and the Teddy Saunder’s Award for her YMCA.
At Ellsworth High School, she is  the vice president of the  Student Council, the president of the AFS International Club, the vice president of the Spanish Club, a member of the National Honor Society for three years, and the captain of the Ellsworth High School swim team. For the Ellsworth high school swim team, CeCe currently holds all of the individual team records and has been a State Champion twice and PVC Champion three times.
