Clemens Is Home

I am so happy to report that Christopher Clemens is HOME! He has returned to the Island after his horrific accident in Rochester in February. Walter Churchill captured this photo of Chris when he was competing in the triple jump for MDI High School, and I thought it was just perfect for this article, especially after reading his mother's entry on his CaringBridge site.

Chris will start therapy at the Maine Center for Integrated Rehab on Tuesday and attend one hour each of Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy classes two to three times a week. Part three of Chris’s recovery begins now. Part 1 was in the  ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital. Part 2 was in Acute Rehab at Golisano Restorative Neurology and Rehabilitation Center.

Knowing Chris Clemens, his hard work, and intestinal fortitude, as well as the prayers and best wishes of the community will see him through part 3 of his recovery!
