Clay Buchholz pitched 6.1 solid innings to help the Red Sox make it two in a row over Toronto with a 4-3 win Saturday night.Buchholz only allowed 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5 and walking just 2 in an effort that improved his record to 7-8. This is the third straight quality start for Buchholz who has posted a 1.90 ERA in those starts which has totaled 23.2 innings of work. Additionally, four of the five earned runs he has allowed in his last 3 starts were inherited runs allowed by relievers.

The Sox offense didn’t set the world on fire but they scored a run in each of the first 4 innings. A Christian Vazquez rbi double in the 4th inning proved to be the game winner.
