We LOVE the SPCA of Hancock County, and we also LOVE to eat! Combine both, and it makes for a fabulous evening!

The Cellar Bistro is holding a benefit dinner on Monday, Feb. 27, to raise money for the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) of Hancock County.

The restaurant on Main Street in Ellsworth will be featuring a special four-course menu at a cost of $48 per person – with $24 from each dinner being donated to the SPCA’s animal shelter!  Good deal!!

Dinner will be served from 4 to 9 p.m. Reservations are required.

“We are so grateful to Joe and the Cellar Bistro for hosting this fundraiser for our shelter,” said Jamie O’Keefe, president of the SPCA’s board of directors. “This is an opportunity to enjoy amazing food while helping the dogs and cats in the SPCA’s care.”

The menu includes choice of appetizers, entrees and dessert with a special gift from the SPCA, said Joe Baranello, owner of general manager of Cellar Bistrol. Entrees choices include baked stuffed haddock, steak tips, Greek chicken or Cellar vegetarian.
