Ton of Pasta This Saturday

This Saturday, March 4th, DJ Fred and I will be at the Ellsworth Hannaford from 10 AM to 2 PM to collect pasta for our annual Ton of Pasta event. When we started this back in 2003, we thought wouldn’t it be fantastic if with our 4 stations combined, if we could collect 2000 pounds of pasta COMBINED! But, thanks to our listeners and a generous community, we usually collect somewhere between 3 and 4 ton! That’s a heck of a lot of pasta!

The State Class B Wrestling Meet was held at Bucksport High School on Saturday, February 18th and Ellsworth High School finished 2nd with Bucksport High School finishing 9th. The top 5 team results were 1. Wells 100 points, 2. Ellsworth 80.5 points, 3. Winslow 73.5 points, 4. Mountain Valley 71 points 5. Foxcroft Academy 69 points.

Congratulations to all who competed throughout the season. Wrestling is one of the toughest sports, not only having to compete against your competitors, but competing against the scale having to make weight before every match.
