The Eagles continued their run to the postseason Friday night, defeating Stearns 49-7 in East Millinocket. Ellsworth is now 2-4 and in 5th place in the Class D North Heal Point Standings. The Hancock County Cross Country Championships were held yesterday, Saturday, October 7th at Bucksport High School, and the MDI Boys finished 1st and the Ellsworth Boys finished 2nd. GSA finished 3rd, Sumner 4th and and Bucksport finished 5th.

Ellsworth High School is set to induct their 1st Sport's Hall of Fame Class on Saturday, October 14th at an induction dinner at Ellsworth High School from 6 PM to 8 PM . The Class will be introduced at halftime of the Friday night football game vs. Orono on October 13th. The initial Hall of Fame Class is comprised of 11 members.
