Deandra Kanu, who graduated from MDI High School in 2014, will be on ABC's Bachelor in Paradise this summer. Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise will air on August 16. Tune in to watch Deandra shine while in Mexico. Anything can happen in paradise.

Former MDI Trojan Gio McKenzie gave it his best shot, but failed to qualify for the Jamaican Olympic Track and Field Team in the Triple Jump on Friday night, June 25th at the National Stadium in Jamaica

Giovanni McKenzie who graduated from MDI High School in 2017 is attempting to qualify for the Jamaican Track and Field Olympic Team that will compete in Tokyo beginning on July 23rd.

Ever since MDI High School was formed 50 years ago, with the consolidation of Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor High Schools, there have been a lot of championship teams. But the 1st ever State Championship Team belonged to the 1972 Boys Cross Country Team. There will be a reunion and brief ceremony this Friday, June 25th at 12 Noon on the Village Green in Bar Harbor.
