Congratulations to Katherine Hoff, Sam Keblinsky and Rachelle Swanson, all members of the MDI High School Class of 2020 that were awarded $500 scholarships from Bar Harbor Bank and Trust in memory of long term Bank employees and directors.

Paige Osgood just finished her 7th year teaching 2nd grade at the Surry Elementary School, a year that was cut short by COVID-19 and the birth of her 3rd child Bryce Benjamin. Miss Paige as she is known to her rising 3rd graders has decided to send a Flat Miss Paige home to the 19 members of her class.

Congratulations to former Ellsworth Eagles Austin Baron and Leah Stevens who were named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All Academic Teams for baseball and softball on June 15th.

The Collin's Center at the University of Maine is having a virtual Maine Talent Showcase and they have posted the 10 finalists, with 1 of them being former MDI Trojan Megan Howell.

Congratulations to former MDI Trojan Camilla Thomassen-Tai who was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and will study in Taiwan as an English Teaching Assistant.

Former Ellsworth Eagle Austin Baron made the most of his start behind the plate for Husson University on Monday, March 9th, going 2-3 at the plate with a double, scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 runs. He also had a stolen base.

Former MDI Trojan Matt Perconti had a great start to the 2020 season for Wentworth College as the Cougars beat Martin Luther 3-1 on Monday, March 9th. Perconti, making his 1st start of the season on the mound picked up the win.

Former MDI Trojan Kelsey Shaw had a season high 17 points (6-for-9, 2-for-3 threes), 7 rebounds, 4 assists, a blocked shot and steal.to help lead the Northeast Division top-seeded Stonehill College, ranked No. 25 in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and D2SIDA Top 25 polls to a 80-61 triumph over Northeast No. 2 Saint Anselm College on Sunday, March 8th.
