Carol Dyer Luminaria Event [Photos&Video]

I had the privilege of attending the 13th Annual Carol Dyer Luminaria Event on the Village Green in Bar Harbor,last night, August 2nd. This event, organized by a 12 women committee with the help of lots of friends and volunteers, raises between 5 and 10 thousand dollars a year for the American Cancer Society.

As you may know, I have had cancer twice, and it runs in my family, with both my mother and father having had cancer. Cancer sucks, and events like this are personal to me. It was a beautiful and touching event, with volunteers reading names of those in honor of, and those in memory of, while people strolled throughout the luminaria lit pathways.

What was particularly nice about this event, was the number of tourists, who when finding out what was happening, purchased luminarias for their loved ones.
