Card Honored

Former Ellsworth Eagle Morgan Card was named Outstanding Offensive Player in the Yankee Small College Conference Elite Eight Tournament held February 18-21 in Auburn. The University of Maine Augusta Moose lose in the Championship game on Sunday afternoon to St. Joseph's College of Vermont 59-52.

In Thursday's Quarterfinal Card had 14 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. In Saturday's semifinal Card had 4 points and 3 rebounds and in Sunday's final, Card had another double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The University of Maine Augusta Moose finished the season 23-8, the best in the team's history and are waiting to see if she will be awarded a bid for the USCAA National Tournament. Bids will be awarded Wednesday, February 24th.
