Card and Moose Head to Nationals

Ellsworth High School alumna Morgan Card and the University of Maine Moose are heading to the USCAA Division 2 National Championships as the number 4 seed and will play the number 5 seed Penn State Beavers on Thursday, March 3rd at 9:30 PM.

The winner of the UMaine-Augusta - Penn State game will play the winner of the number 1 seed St. Joseph's College- number 8 seed Penn State Fayette game on Friday March 4th at 9 PM in the semifinals. St. Joseph's College defeated UMaine-Augusta 59-52 in the Elite Eight Championship Game on February 21st.

The UMaine-Augusta Moose are 23-8 on the season and Card is averaging 8.4 points per game and 7 rebounds per game in her first season with the team. She is aslo on the Dean's List for her academic work!
