In their 1st year, the Bucksport Unified Basketball Team defeated Foxcroft Academy 59-54 to win the Northern Maine Championship on Tuesday night, March 21st in Dover-Foxcroft.  Bucksport will play for the Gold Ball and the State Championship Thursday night, March 23rd at Winslow High School at 6 PM.

The score was tied 29-29 at the end of the 1st Half.

Bucksport was led by Quincy Hawes-Mosher with a game high 33 points including 4 3-pointers. Nick Johnson had 9 points, Jacob Pyles had 7 points. Mason Dale and Luke Brann each had 4 points and Jacob Ames had 2 points. Also playing on the Bucksport Unified Team were Kennedi Goodine, Hannah Ashmore, Charlie Wescott, Emily Hunt, Tyler Hawes-Mosher, Drew Malenfant, Sam Munn, Josh Geagan, Luke Breidt and Ben McDonald.

Foxcroft Academy was led by Austin McKenna with 13 points, Jordan Niles had 12 points. Griffin Loomis and Jared Atklinson each had 2 3-pointers for 6 points and Chase Paul had 6 points. B.J. Ramp had 4 points. Tyler Kessler, Riley Poisson  and Virginia Monsanto each had 2 points. Brandon Cookseno had 1 point. Also playing for Foxcroft Academy was Ethan Curtis, Caleb Crocker, Cole Coolan, Gabe Taylor and John Judkins.
