Bucksport Nips Dexter 43-41

The Bucksport Boy's Basketball Team nipped Dexter Tuesday night, December 27th 43-41 after trailing 27-17 at halftime in Bucksport.

Dexter led 13-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Jason Campbell had 5 points including a 3-pointer while Joshua Simcock had a 3-pointer, Braden Miller had 3 points and William Strauch had 2 points for the Tigers. Bucksport's points came from Chase Charmichael, a 3-pointer and Tyson Gray with 2 points.

It was a 10 point lead at the half, 27-17 as Campbell scored 4 more points for Dexter and Miller, and Zachary White each had 3 points and Strauch and CJ Cooper each had 2. For Bucksport, Tyson Gray had 5 points, Andy Allan had a 3-pointer and Lucas Brann had 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter, Bucksport limited Dexter to just 4 points, to cut the lead to 37-27. Tanner Stegner had 5 points for the Golden Bucks including a 3-pointer, Jakob Donnell drained a 3-pointer and Allan was 2-2 from the free throw line. For Dexter Chandler Perkins and Simcock each had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter, Chase Carmichael had 10 points with a3-pointer and went 5-6 from the free throw line. Andy Allen had 4 points with a 3-pointer and Tanner Stegner added 2 points for the Golden Bucks. For Dexter, Zachary white had 5 points, Strauch had a 3-pointer and Brayden Miller had 2 free throws.

Bucksport was led by Chase Carmichael with 13 points while Andy Allan had 9 points. The Golden Bucks were 9-19 from the free throw line.

Dexter was led by Jason Campbell with 9 points while Brayden Miller and Zachary White each had 8 points. Dexter was 8-14 from the free throw line.

Bucksport is now 3-3 and scheduled to play at Lee Academy weather permitting on Thursday, December 29th.

Dexter is now 4-2 and scheduled to play host to Stearns on Thursday, December 29th, weather permitting.
