The Bucksport Girl's Soccer Team played to a 2-2 draw with GSA on Saturday afternoon, September 24th in Blue Hill.

GSA took a 2-0 lead into halftime after Morgan Dauk scored off a crossing assist from teammate Nellie Haldane at 36:37 in the 1st half.  Then with just 1 second remaining in the half, Haldane scored on a breakway shot, to put the Eagles up 2-0.

In the 2nd half, Bucksport narrowed the lead to 2-1 when Hannah Ashmore scored from a cross from Cassey Coombs at 29:44. Tine Hjelle knotted the game on an indirect kick, with 10:47 remaining in the 2nd Half.

That was it for scoring, as both teams battled through two 5 minute overtime periods before the game was declared a tie 2-2.

Bucksport's Bree Coombs had 5 saves on 14 saves while GSA's Bess McArthur had 7 saves on 15 shots.

Bucksport is now 3-3-1 and plays host to Mattanawcook Academy this afternoon, Monday, September 26th at 4 PM.

GSA is now 5-0-1 and plays at Washington Academy on Wednesday, September 28th at 4 PM.

GSA and Bucksport will play again, in Bucksport on Monday, October 3rd at 4 PM
