The Bucksport Girl's Soccer Team played host to Central High School on Wednesday, September 28th and defeated the Lady Red Devils 4-3.

Tine Hjelle, put Bucksport on the scoreboard first with an outside shot with an assist from Bell Cyr.

Central's Emma Campbell answered with a quick goal on the Golden Bucks to make the score 1-1.

Hjelle then delivered a corner kick and Emily Hunt scored for Bucksport to give the Lady Bucks a 2-1 lead with 34:18 remaining in the 1st Half.

Hjelle then scored her 2nd goal of the afternoon, with a cross from Cassy Coombs to make it 3-1 Bucksport just 3 minutes later.

Central then narrowed the score, when Sydney Allen scored with 20:38 remaining in the half.

The Lady Red Devils weren't done, when Campbell scored her 2nd goal of the afternoon with 10:42 remaining in the 1st Half, to tie the score 3-3.

Bucksport wasn't to be outdone, as Hjelle scored her 3rd goal of the afternoon with 1:26 remaining in the 1st Half on an outside crossing shot!

Bree Coombs was in goal for Bucksport and had 10 saves on 11 shots. Central goalie Rachel Smith had 9 saves on 16 shots.

Bucksport is now 5-3-1 and plays hot to Washington Academy on Friday, September 30th at 4 PM. Washington Academy defeated Bucksport 2-1 on September 12th.

Central is now 4-4 and plays at Searsport on Monday, October 3rd at 4 PM.
