The Bucksport Girl's Soccer Team improved to 8-4-1 on the season on Wednesday, October 13th beating the Sumner Tigers 7-0 in Sullivan.

Bucksport's Hannah Ashmore tallied the 1st goal for the Golden Bucks, scoring with a header off of a corner kick from Tine Hjelle.

Hjelle and Ashmore combined to score the 2nd goal, with Hjelle scoring with an assist from Ashmore.

Meaghan Goodine made it 3-0 Bucksport with a shot outside the 18yard line, that found the back of the net.

Hjelle made it 4-0 with an unassisted goal. Bucksport led 4-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

In the 2nd Half, Darian Jellison scored with Hjelle getting another assist via a corner kick.

Hjelle and Ashmore combined for another goal, with Hjelle scoring her 3rd goal of the game, and Ashmore notching her 2nd assist.

Bucksport's final goal came at the foot of Cassy Coombs, with 2:16 remaining in the game via a nicely placed penalty kick.

Bucksport's Bree Combs faced no shots, while Sumner's Kala Young had 16 saves on 20 shots.

Bucsport is now 8-4-1 and finishes the regular season on Friday, October 14th in Lincoln against Mattanawcook Academy.

Sumner Academy is 1-9-1 and plays host to Narraguagus on Friday, October 14th
