The Bucksport Bay Festival has a new look this year, calling itself the Bucksport Bay Festival of the Forest. And since the largest employer in town is a paper mill, it makes sense! Plenty of fun in Bucksport this weekend during the festival!

The festival has been held at the end of July for the past sixteen years. But festival organizer Chris Grindle says this year it has a new theme and a new look.

"We are re-branding it to celebrate the forest! Forestry, logging, paper, resources of that type. And given that we have a paper mill right here in town, why not celebrate it?"

He says this year will be even more fun than in years past.

"Anyone who's been to the Bay Festival in the past, you can expect just that, and more. We'll have the standard cotton candy, dough boys, and onion rings, live entertainment, and the parade. But the new things that we'll have include members of the cast of the TV-Show 'North Woods Law' will be present to talk with folks, and we're also having new this year a Heavy Equipment Petting Zoo, which is similar to a touch a truck event. We'll have skidders, logging equipment, and tractors, everything that pertains to our theme. And it really sounds like a lot of fun!"
