The new #1 team in the nation in Division III women's hoops very well could be the Bowdoin College. While Coach Adrienne Shibles and her Polar Bears were beating UNE 106-55 last night, Amherst was getting upset by Eastern Connecticut 70-67.

The preseason poll (below) has two-time national champ Amherst ranked #1 and Bowdoin #2. Remember they met in the national championship game last year.

The (3-0) Polar Bears are likely to move into the #1 ranking after the (2-1) Amherst loss. The first of the weekly polls will be released Monday.
