Blue Hill Heritage Trust will lead a hike on their property up the Hayes Trail to see the blue moonrise from the top of the mountain.

This Friday will be a full moon, the second one this month! Whenever there are two full moons in the same calendar month, which occurs about once every 2 1/2 years, the second one is called a blue moon. Ever heard the expression "Once in a blue moon"?

But Friday’s blue moon won’t look blue. It will still appear pale gray and white, like any other full moon. But it still will be just as beautiful! Don't forget your flashlight or headlamp!!

Join the Blue Hill Heritage Trust in a hike beginning at the trailhead of the Hayes Trail (Field Trail) at 7:30 pm. This event is free and open to all. Kids must be accompanied by adult and you must RSVP with name and phone number to info@bluehillheritagetrust.org. For more information visit their Facebook event page.
