Patriots coach Bill Belichick addressed the media this morning for the first time on the "deflate-gate" issue. He said was "shocked" when he heard about it Monday morning and said he had no explanation for what happened to the game balls.

“We will continue to be cooperative in any way that we can,” Belichick said of the ongoing NFL investigation into whether the Patriots intentionally deflated game balls below the allowed pressure in order to gain an advantage.

Belichick said moving forward, the team would inflate the balls above the minimum allowed pressure to allow for any natural deflation that may occur.
